WetMeter ("we", "us", "the site") respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Data we do not collect
WetMeter does not require an account. We do not store your route plans, waypoints, or GPS data on our servers. Your plan lives entirely in your browser's local storage until you delete it.
2. Data we do collect
We use server logs and anonymised access analytics (no per-user tracking). If you open the Telegram bot, the bot stores your Telegram chat_id so it can deliver export notifications. You can delete it any time with the /stop command.
3. Third-party services
Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap. Routing comes from brouter.de. Geo-IP lookups (only your country code, no precise location) come from ip-api.com. Telegram message delivery is handled by api.telegram.org.
4. Cookies
We use no advertising cookies. We use a single functional local-storage entry to remember your route waypoints and your language choice on this device.
5. GDPR (EEA residents)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct and delete any data we hold about you. The only personal data we ever store is your Telegram chat_id (if you subscribed). Contact info@wetmeter.online to exercise these rights.
6. CCPA (California residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal data we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale. We do not sell personal data.
7. Children's data
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect the change.
